Evolution3D vs Studiotek130
In early 2008 I had a sample pack sent to me from an ISF calibrator in NSW. In the sample pack were the 3 main Stewart fabrics (and a few others not worth mentioning) Studiotek 130, Firehawk and Greyhawk.
I will not be touching on the grey fabrics in this quick writeup/image comparison. This is really about Studiotek 130 and how it compared to our premium white fabric Evolution3D.
We took a few photos of Studiotek 130 on our Majestic Evo3D screen which you can see below. In fact the top 2 shots were just for curiosity, and they became buried in our files. The bottom 2 were taken on the left and
right sides of the frame of our screen with the MK3 lens in place as we were testing for prism displacement. The resulting overscan had to be documented by way of photographs. The Studiotek130 fabric was near by
so it was used for these quick snaps.
It was not our intention to photograph and compare these vinyls, but with the question popping up again and again 'how does your screen compare to the studiotek screen?' I thought it was time we showed how
they compared, so we dug through our images and found these 4 shots. I will not be going into any great detail here as it would be seen as 'leading', which is not my intention.
Let's let the images tell the story.

We had trouble here seeing where their fabric started and finished. |

On this shot here you can see the vinyl's name just below the bald guys head. |
